An Extra Special Regional Win

To win an NHBC Pride in the Job award of any calibre is a special honour, to continuously win these covetable awards year on year is highly commendable but to win the highest provincial NHBC award amidst a year of ill health, makes this award extra special for Site Manager Ricky Morrow and Vaughan Homes…

Site Manager Ricky Morrow won this year’s title for his unparalleled work at Hilltops on Lisburn’s Magheralave Road – the same site he scooped his regional win for previously. In a construction career that spans 30 years, Ricky has won the regional title three times and has secured the highly covetable Seal of Excellence on countless occasions. This is relatively unheard for any single builder but speaks volumes about the high standards that Ricky and the Vaughan Homes team strive to achieve year on year. Despite a period of ill health during the year, Ricky fought hard and has thankfully made a full recovery. Testament to Ricky and the hard work of the Vaughan Homes team, work on Hilltops carried on and the high standards already in place were maintained. Vaughans is thrilled to have secured this very special Regional and Seal of Excellence Award win for Hilltops. All homes on this timber frame constructed site are in demand and thankfully there are still more to come. Hilltops is a mixture of detached and semi-detached modern houses with unique features and designs and offers potential purchasers something different from the ‘norm’. This is a unique site with stunning architectural features. The exterior of each home at the Hilltops development is aesthetically pleasing and unique with clean lines, slate stone porches, modern brick and render elevations. Furthermore, the use of Tegral Cedral cladding on selected house types enhances the modern, clean aesthetics and adds interest to gable walls and needs no upkeep. Homes come with a sleek, modern kitchen and integrated appliances and contemporary sanitary ware. There is ground floor underfloor heating in all homes and an array of individual special touches.

NEW LEASE OF LIFE
Ricky said: “Winning this award, this year out of all the years, means so much more to me. The whole thing has made me take stock of what’s important.” Naturally Vaughan Homes is extremely proud of their awardwinning Site Manager and said: “We are absolutely delighted and the fact that the judges have recognised the consistency in the quality having received the regional award two years in a row, this is a great achievement and recognition for all the team.” This latest accolade brings Vaughan Homes’ trophy haul to 16 and the company said: “We’ll have to find more wall space for all the certificates, which include three regional awards within the last seven years.”

Ricky is looking forward to attending the Supreme Awards ceremony in London in January and says while winning would be wonderful, it’s also important to recognised. He said: “It’s so important to show consistency with our high standards and to be at the Supreme Awards. We’re improving year on year and anything is possible; I would be ecstatic to win.” Vaughan Homes has been at the fore of Northern Irish homebuilding for 33 years now and the firm adds: “The Supreme award is the ultimate career goal for Ricky, you never know – third time lucky.” Vaughan Homes added: “We have exciting, new developments on the horizon with a new development planned for late 2019, so watch this space.”

An exciting new phase of Hilltops is due to start in January 2019, which will offer a new house type so interested buyers are urged to contact the selling agent, Reeds Rains on: (028 9267 5321), email: lisburn@reedsrains.co.uk.
